Terms & Conditions
At Our Kids Network (“OKN”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), our learning opportunities are designed to strengthen collaboration, build shared understanding, and support those working to improve outcomes for children and youth.
By registering for an OKN paid event, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
- Registration & Payment
Registration is confirmed once full payment has been received.
All fees are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Applicable taxes will be indicated at checkout where required.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing, offer early bird rates, or provide group discounts at our discretion.
Tickets may be transferred to another individual if you are unable to attend (see Section 3).
- Refund & Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans change. Our refund policy is designed to be fair while allowing us to responsibly plan our events.
- 14 days or more before the event: Full refund
- 7–13 days before the event: 50% refund
- 48 hours or less before the event: No refund
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to eileen@ourkidsnetwork.ca
If OKN cancels an event, registrants will receive a full refund.
If an event is rescheduled, registrants may choose to transfer their registration to the new date or request a refund.
No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
- Ticket Transfers & Substitutions
We welcome substitutions.
- Registrations may be transferred to another individual at no additional cost.
- Substitutions within the same organization are permitted.
- Transfer requests must be submitted at least 24 hours before the event.
Please contact eileen@ourkidsnetwork.ca to arrange a transfer.
- Event Changes
OKN reserves the right to make reasonable changes to event details, including:
- Speakers or facilitators
- Agenda or session timing
- Venue location
- Delivery format (for example, moving from in-person to virtual if necessary)
If significant changes occur, we will notify registered participants as soon as possible.
In circumstances beyond our control (including public health guidance, severe weather, or other unforeseen events), OKN may cancel, postpone, or modify an event.
- Recording & Photography
Some events may be recorded or photographed.
By attending, you acknowledge that:
- Virtual sessions may be recorded for educational, archival or communications purposes.
- In-person events may include photography for documentation or communications purposes.
When recordings or photos are used publicly, they may appear on our website, reports, newsletters, or social media channels.
If you prefer not to be recorded or photographed, please notify us in advance at randa@ourkidsnetwork.ca, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
- Intellectual Property
All event materials, including presentations, slides, recordings, toolkits, and resources, are the intellectual property of Our Kids Network unless otherwise stated.
Materials are provided for personal or professional use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, recorded, or shared publicly without prior written permission.
- Community Code of Conduct
OKN learning opportunities are collaborative, respectful spaces.
We expect all participants to:
- Engage respectfully and constructively
- Support inclusive dialogue
- Refrain from discriminatory, harassing, or disruptive behaviour
OKN reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour compromises the safety, comfort, or learning experience of others. In such cases, refunds will not be issued.
- Sponsors
Some events may be supported by sponsors. Where applicable, sponsor recognition will be shared in event materials.
Participant information will not be shared with sponsors without consent unless explicitly stated at registration.
- Accessibility
Our Kids Network is committed to accessibility and inclusion.
If you require accommodations to participate fully, please contact us at least 7 days prior to the event at eileen@ourkidsnetwork.ca, and we will make reasonable efforts to meet your needs.
- Privacy
Personal information collected during registration is used solely for event administration, communication, and related follow-up.
- Limitation of Liability
Our Kids Network is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, damage, or expenses incurred as a result of participation in an event, except where required by law.
Event content is provided for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
- Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
