New OKN Factsheet Shows Strong Relationships Are Key to Youth Mental Health

A new factsheet from Our Kids Network (OKN) brings local data to life, showing how connection, belonging, and trusted adults help youth in Halton thrive.

The factsheet, The Role of Relationships in Youth Mental Health, draws on findings from the 2023 Insights into Youth Mental Health and Well-Being Surveys, completed by more than 7,000 Grade 7 and Grade 10 students across Halton. The data points to a clear message: when young people feel supported and connected, their mental health outcomes are stronger.
